The beginning…
Kevutu was created in August 2007 by Joey Montambeault. At first, Kevutu was a place where he could take note of his wants, to avoid forgetting about them. He began developing the website in his spare time, adding modules here and there. Joey began wondering if other people would find his website helpful.
Inspired from other social websites on the Web, Joey began building a public version of Kevutu so that it could host a large user community. From now on, anyone who joined the website could start cataloging and maybe sharing their wants.
Teamwork…
In March 2008, Joey realized that Kevutu had a scope that was growing, and growing. He decided to recruit a good friend to help him finalize the website.
In April 2008, Jayson Bellemare joined Joey to help him finalize Kevutu’s website. Jayson, a professional web developer, already worked with Joey on another website in the 1990’s.
In August 2008, Kevutu was ready to be launched to the public. Jonathan Rousseau joined the team to develop Kevutu’s recognition to the public in the Province of Quebec. Having lived across the entire province, he brought the range and the expertise to help the public discover Kevutu.
Kevutu was publicly launched on September 23rd, 2008.
In October 2009, following a strategic change, Jonathan retired from the permanent team and Joël Séguin, a project management professional and business analyst, joined Kevutu to follow through with the development efforts and the public recognition of Kevutu.
We trust that you will find Kevutu as useful as it is for us. Enjoy !
